It’s no secret our environment can affect how we feel. In this session, we will discuss the link between clutter and mental health, why clutter can impact us negatively and how tidying up can benefit your overall health. You will have a better understanding of the cost of clutter and how clutter could be a sign of other mental health issues. We will discuss the difference between chronic disorganization and hoarding, as well as some causes, symptoms and treatments that are available.

Helen Youn is a KonMari Master Consultant and Trained Professional Organizer based in Calgary, Alberta. Helen found the KonMari Method as an overwhelmed mom reading “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo and decided to make a change. After experiencing life-changing results firsthand, Helen felt compelled to pursue training to become one of the first Certified KonMari Consultants in the world. As an organizing expert, Helen guides and supports people to make room for joy while transforming their homes into an organized and easy to maintain space. Helen is frequently featured in the media as a subject matter expert and honoured to be the only Canadian KonMari Consultant selected by KonMari Media Inc as an instructor and member of Speakers Circle.
