At this workshop, you will learn to build a low cost 3D printable accessibility switch design. The switch is small (50 mm L x 18 mm W x 15 mm H) and uses a standard 3.5 mm cable. It is easy to press for those who find it challenging to press down with force. The activation force of this switch is 0.3 – 0.4 N. This workshop is a collaboration between the MRU Maker Studio and Makers Making Change—an innovative community based initiative that connects makers to people with disabilities to create affordable open source assistive technologies.
*Makers Making Change will record portions of this workshop for a promotional video (not affiliated with MRU). Attendees who do not want to be filmed may inform the instructor.
