The Raspberry Pi is a small microcomputer that connects to a computer monitor, keyboard and mouse and is inexpensive.This system enables you to connect to the internet, download and run applications all from within an easy to navigate operating system. Attend this workshop to learn how to image the operating system onto a micro SD card to turn your Raspberry Pi into a full fledged microcomputer. Learn about the computer peripherals you will need on-hand, in order to use the Raspberry Pi. Learn what the Terminal console can do with some basic terminal commands. Explore the linux operating system, Debian, and learn how to find and install apps to customize your microcomputer. Finally, this workshop will teach you how to program Python from within the Raspberry Pi, and open the door to unlimited creative and academic possibilities!

Registration for online events will close one hour before the start of the event. You will receive an email reminder one hour before the event start time with a link to Google Meet where the event will take place. We look forward to seeing you there.
