Learn some design basics using Adobe Illustrator by creating a simple logo. In this workshop you will learn different types of logos and how to use Adobe Illustrator to create a simple logo for yourself that you can use in a variety of academic and personal applications. Please make sure that you have Adobe Illustrator installed on your own computer or use the computers  available  in the Maker Studio.


Learning Objectives:

This workshop will:

  • Introduce the tools in Adobe Illustrator 

  • Explain the role of a logo, the different types and when to use which


Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this workshop participants should be able to:

  • Navigate the Adobe Illustrator interface with confidence

  • Identify and use most commonly used tools 

  • Manipulate fonts and create custom shapes

  • Understand the basic types and uses of a logo
