This research talk presents the findings of a recent qualitative and comparative study focusing on the self and news representation of civil disobedience citizen collectives within the environmental movement across Italy, Germany, and the UK. The central inquiry revolves around understanding the disparities between self-representation by these collectives and the portrayal of them in news coverage. Additionally, the discussion will explore the potential relevance of these findings to scholars in the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies and within the social sciences more broadly.
