Rethinking Climate Change from and within Racialized Youth-led Climate Actions: A Case Study from Calgary City

This presentation explores how racialized youth in Calgary are leading climate action initiatives that challenge conventional environmental narratives. It highlights the intersections of race, climate justice, and youth leadership, emphasizing the unique approaches and insights from marginalized communities. Through a case study, it rethinks climate change solutions by centering the voices and experiences of racialized youth. 

Decolonizing the Climate Crisis Through Indigenous Land-based Learning and Action in Kasungu National Park, Malawi.

This research explores how two Indigenous communities near Kasungu National Park in Malawi adapt to climate change impacts, focusing on erratic rainfall patterns that disrupt food security and cultural practices. Through the Indigenous land-based approach, youth engaged with Elders to document and analyze traditional and ecological responses to these challenges.
