Data management plans (DMPs) are often required with funding applications, including those of numerous CIHR grants and a small but growing number of NSERC and SSHRC grants. For both funded and unfunded research, data management plans can help ensure that research data is secure and managed consistently across teams, and prevent unexpected storage or software costs. The DMP Assistant is an easy-to-use platform that can help you develop a data management plan that satisfies funding application requirements.
In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to use the DMP Assistant, provide high-level guidance on creating a DMP, and help you decide which DMP template is the right one for your needs.
