A data dictionary is an important type of documentation that defines and provides context for the variables in a dataset. Data dictionaries help other researchers make sense of data, whether they are reusing data independently or as part of your research team. In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to data dictionaries, provide recommendations for content and structure, and help you start to create a data dictionary for your research project.
