What does it take to lead effectively across differences?

This interactive session, co-facilitated by Yemi Adeyemi and Narissa Jessa, introduces Cultural Intelligence (CQ) as a practical leadership capability. It focuses on the ability to understand, adapt, and function effectively in culturally diverse settings. Moving beyond surface level awareness, participants will explore how reflection, motivation, knowledge, and behaviour shape cross cultural interactions.

This session aligns with Mount Royal’s Academic and Strategic Plans, including Goal 2 by supporting the development of intercultural competence needed to thrive in a global society, and Goal 4 by advancing principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility across the MRU community.

Designed for leaders of all kinds, including those who lead through their roles, relationships, or influence, this session supports participants in strengthening their ability to navigate complexity, foster inclusion, and lead with intention.

As a pilot offering, your participation will help shape future CQ programming at MRU.
