In this hand-on workshop, you will explore the basics of electronics while creating illuminated origami animals. This beginner-friendly session combines creativity with circuitry, offering an artistic and educational experience. The workshop starts with building simple circuits, no soldering or complex equipment needed.

Chibitronics makes it easy to understand how to connect batteries, LEDs, and resistors, with a focus on how electricity flows through different components. As you gain confidence there is a chance to experiment with more advanced elements, like adding effects, sensors, or microcontroller stickers.

Not only will this workshop serve as an introduction to electronics, but it will also provide insight into how to transition from 2D to 3D design. This knowledge lays the foundation for future work with advanced design tools like TinkerCad and can inspire future projects. You will leave with a unique, light-up origami animal to decorate your desk or keep as a study companion.

In this workshop you will learn:

• How basic electrical circuits work by assembling simple configurations using components such as batteries, LEDs, and resistors
• Analyze the function and application of Chibitronics circuit stickers as an introductory tool for learning electronics
• Apply principles of spatial reasoning to transition from two-dimensional templates to three-dimensional paper based designs with embedded electronics
