DESCRIPTION:Looking for a simple\, professional way to publish your own 
 openly licensed teaching materials on the web\, share them with others\, 
 and lower textbook costs for your students? Pressbooks might be the 
 platform for you.\n\nIn this session\, attendees will learn about the open 
 education movement and get an overview of the Pressbooks platform — its 
 background\, how it works\, and what's possible. The session will include 
 examples of Pressbooks projects created by MRU authors and an explanation 
 of how interested faculty can get started with an account through Mount 
 Royal University Library.\n\n
